Mrs. Freese was born Jan. 13, 1941, in Youngstown, a daughter to Charles and Eva Mae Girts. She moved to Struthers in 1955, where she graduated from Struthers High School in 1959. Betty went on to marry Donald L. Freese on Oct. 11, 1961.
